I went to the doc today for a check up on my back and some other stuff and she was flipping through my chart and actually had nerve to say "You know, looking at your chart it looks like you have gained 50 pounds in the last 6 months. is that possible?" I couldn't think of anything clever to say but I should have pulled my shirt up and showed her my gut or something! Um...aparantly it is possible because I've done it!!! 6 months ago is around when I changed my antidepressants around and then went off of them in January and at the same time my back started bothering me so I guess it is a combo of both things. I have degenerative disk disease and have gone through physical therapy and do some exercises every day for that but nothing that is burning enough calories to make up for what I used to do. I mean it isn't like I was doing a lot before but I was able to move around some now every little thing hurts and trust me when I say I feel every single pound that I add on. Anyone else's doctor every say anything really stupid to them?
