I have started walking this week and I feel good about the effort and progress that I've made. I even exceeded my goal of 3 times a week. But walking hurts a lot. Especially my calves. They feel sore and even though I don't walk longer than 20 minutes at a time, they get stiff and it gets harder to walk the next day. Can anyone recommend another option to walking? I'm thinking about going to the gym and doing the bike and eliptical machine because I don't think it will hurt because it won't be so jarring.
