I am a man living in Seattle, I have tried attending oa meetings here but feel somewhat uncomfortable because of the extreme ratio of women to men in the groups. The women are supportive but I feel out of place, there used to be a mens focus group in West Seattle but it didnt have the membership to stay afloat(4). Now I know there are more men out there that could use help and weight loss buddies but is it ego that keeeps them away? I dont know. I would like to meet others in my area that would like group excercise, not just men, women too!
