Hi. I have an appointment with a blood specialist in about 2.5 hours and would benefit from your support today. I'm going by myself to Mass General Hospital and it's a big scarey place and I don't really have my bearings as to how to get there, what the parking situation is, and where the building I'm supposed to go to is located. I'm seeing this specialist because my white blood cell count has been slightly elevated for 6 months now and my regular doctor can't explain why. I filled out the questionnaire that came with the referral, and I'm glad that I could check off the "no" box next to most of the list of diseases they ask if you have. My doctor listed obesity as one of my diseases on the referral. But you know what? I AM obese. It's just a fancy word for fat and I know I am fat. It's not like the doctor isn't going to notice that about me right away - you can't hide it! LOL! I'm glad I don't have any anger or resentment toward that word anymore. There are worse conditions out there than being obese. I am concerned about my lower back pain, and the fact that I have chronic sinusitis. Maybe that's why my white cells are up. Who knows. I'm going to this appointment with confidence. I do not want to walk in there all scared and worked up with anxiety. Please think of me at 1pm EST and give me a little Daily Strength boost. Thanks! Sue
