I've never joined an online community before, so not sure what to expect. I just turned 48 and have battled a weight problem since my first pregnancy when I was 18. I didn't think my weight bothered me for years, but it seems everything fell apart at once (physically). I have developed hypertension and Type 2 diabetes, along with all the aches and pains. I have so much pain in so many places. It seems that if I don't have pain in one spot I have it somewhere else. It makes me wonder if it's hypochondria..lol. I have suffered from depression when I was younger. I married at 17 and was a widow with 2 little boys at 25. But I must say, today, life is good. I have a wonderful husband who supports me in everything I do. We have beautiful grandbabies. If I could just get my health back so I can be here to enjoy it all. I had gained up to 302 when I saw my doc 2 weeks ago. Now I am at 295. I started Curves and am trying to learn to eat right. I am a hillbilly girl who was taught 'country cookin'. Not sure what I'm looking for here except to find folks that I can identify with. People that are fighting the same battle I am with weight and are truley motivated to do something about it. I'm finding that age is a factor also, it isn't as easy to lose as it used to be. Perhaps we can encourage one another. God bless you all. Happy Holidays.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
