My daughter is obsessed with eating and loves to eat. She's 13, 150 pounds and still growing. I'm trying to help her make more healthful selections, but she has Aspergers, so I would have to be there every living waking second to help her. I have to portion things for her, etc. or she'd go crazy. She has no concept of there being other people in the family and would just get what she wants. My getting upset with her does not deter her at all, and Thanksgiving & get-togethers are very frustrating for me as a parent. And I'm not a control-freak about her eating. If I was she wouldn't eat as much as she does in my presence. (I still have limitations though.) She eats more than anyone in my family (husband included), and I'm not sure what to do about it. Any suggestions?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
