Last night I baked 3 very large chicken breasts in the oven for the 2 of us. Had mixed veggies and a salad. I so wanted to eat that other chicken breast even though I was plenty full. I fought in my mind about "it's healthy, it's low calories, go for it". Well I packed it up and put it in the frig; but what a battle I had with myself. I then found myself running my fingers through the burnt, grease drippings on the pan and licking it several times. I had to run it under water to stop. This compulsion to eat, whether it is healthy or not, until I'm stuffed and sometimes to a sleepy stupor is soooo hard to deal with. The conversation in my head makes me feel like I have a tiny angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. Do you relate? How do you deal with it?
