Ok so this week I've tried cutting down my calories intake. Plus I do a couple dozen starjumps in the morning. After a few days I lost 3 pounds but this morning I've had a massive binge and I still am even though I'm not hungry at all. I've eten 2 packets of crisps, 4 cup cakes and a big piece of cheese! I can't stop :(
Thinking about purging. Atleast then I'd stay on track sort of.
Can anyone relate?

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
Coming from someone who has overcome bulimia.... NO PURGING!
If ya binge, ya binge. Forgive yourself and move on and make the rest of the day count.
Good luck!
Don't let yourself get really, really hungry. That's why eating six times a day is so important. But, remember, CARBS TRIGGER BINGES.
I must agree with LauraInTheGarden: simple carbs are Satan's Supper! They are sheer evil.
I have given up white flour and obvious sugar and it has helped me fight the urges to overeat.
If you can get off these carbs for a few days, I think your urges to binge will decrease.
You aren't alone. Don't beat yourself up. You did the right thing by coming here for support.
What I should say, is that, at 45 and five-two, worrying about my son's wedding, panicked when I hit 145, because I gained from having to take estrogen. I had kept my weight down from 170lbs (about nine years ago) on my teeny-tiny frame for quite a long time. I don't feel like a whiz-bang "success story", but I did lose it and more or less kept it off. I know this doesn't sound like I have as difficult a time as many of you, and I don't have the complications of arthritis or CFS. However, since I was a young teen I have battled fat, bulimia, anorexia, suicidal depression, and the only one damn thing that ever really worked was treating the depression and drastically reducing carbs. I'm a lousy exerciser unless I am slogging around the garden, but even exercise comes second to cutting OUT the @#$% carbs.
There, now...I feel better. If I'm being too preachy or obnoxious I hope you'll let me know, but, seriously, sisters, some of us can't hardly touch carbohydrates.
I tried it... but I cannot make myself stay on it for more than a week or two, mainly because the only thing I can eat on the adkins plan is the meat - I can't eat salad, it's like eating air and quite frankly, salad and low carb veggies gives me the runs and THAT is why I can't stay on it.
Please keep in mind that not everyone has the same problem with carbs and declaring carbs are the devil can be very discouraging to some people.
To me, it is a great motivator... reminds me of when I lived at my mothers years ago and we were both on diets... she counted and limited carb grams (even before adkins) and I lost over 75 pounds - more than she did, by just not overeating and I ate a snickers candy bar in front of her every day just to be mean (I was a brat kid.) I also know what triggers my binges... its not carbs, its not food at all.
Yes, I understand that some people have a problem with carbs (like my mother) and there are some people with unknown allergies to wheat (one of my sister had that problem) and I am glad that you found what works for you... it's great to share your experiences and let other people know that carbs could be a problem. But it's the cure all for everyone.
Personally, I believe that some carbs are good, like bread carbs (not candy carbs) and I've been adding bread carbs to my meals, now I'm trying to add fruits and veggies. I see bread carbs as important... manna is bread... the bread of life... manna fell from heaven, not steaks.
