Since sweets are my biggest downfall, I tend to use artificial sweeteners and drink sugar free drinks. Yes, I'm one of those who always washes down my big mac, fries, and apple pie with a diet coke. I've heard there are studies that say use of these sweeteners actually fuels your desire for sugar, but the "experts" may have surveyed mice for all I know. How do they affect the real people...people like us who are on this website?

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
