Hi. I am new to this group. (Not new to Ds though) I really want to lose some serious weight. The name of the group caught my eye, because I refuse to take pills or use any gimmicks to lose weight. I want to do it the old fashioned, healthy way! I have had some success in the past with regular moderate exercise and healthy eating. Obviously I have gotten off track! I was already overweight, when I had to go on Lupron treatment for endometriosis for a year. I gained about 30 pounds in just a few months! Now I am going back to school and spending a lot of time sitting because of the studying. I am soooo tired of being uncomfortable, self-conscious, and am worried about the health effects as well. As a kid I was always quite active and involved in different sports, and physical activities. I have been active off and on in adulthood. I do enjoy the feeling of exercise, but it is hard to get back to it once you are out of the habit. I am hopefully going to be starting nursing school January of 09 and really want to lose some weight before that so I have the energy to keep up!
