I am in so much trouble at work i almost lost my job today. I work in customer services and made a serious error in not correctly identifying a customer before giving information, in fact i completely forgot to identify at all. With the help of my very supportive manager, i have got a reprieve, for now anyway, but i could have been sacked for gross misconduct. One of the reasons for the reprieve is that i'm still waiting for an Occupational Health Assessment, work are aware but the procedure to get reasonable adjustments has been very slow. Narcolepsy is covered by DDA, so adjustments can be made, when i get the assessment done. However, I have been told that if it happens again, i could face disciplinary and possible dismissal. I'm just so scared now, and worried that my stress about it might even cause me to do it again. Do any of you work in call-centre and have any suggestions of reasonable adjustments that have worked for you?
