I read an article about research done on dogs with narcolepsy (DWN). It found that dogs that were allowed outside to "explore" actually produced more hypocretin then the dogs kept in the lab. So I am trying to figure out what is the human equivalent of "exploring"? What activities that we do might stimulate us to produce more hypocretin? So I looked at behaviors that I feel good doing or that seem to give me more energy. I came up with gardening-I spend a lot of that time on search and destroy mission for weeds-seems kinda like exploring. And, well, shopping...which s also all about searching and evaluating...exploring...what activities seem to give you more energy? What possibly increases your hypocretin production?
