Hi everyone. I am new hear. I don't think I have narcolepsy, but here is my story. I suffer from clinical depression, and muscular dystrophy. I have on a few different meds for depression, which help me, but I think they may cause me to be very sleep during the day. I always get 7-8 hours a sleep everynight, stay on a regular sleep patter, even during the weekend, but still everyday I am very tired, and sometimes I HAVE to take a nap. I have a psychiatrist appointment next week, and I was wondering what some meds are that I could suggest. I don't want to be taken off what I am on right now, because I feel that they are helping me. any advice would be great!

would be grateful as well (new here too..lol) for the advice - I have had to schedule a nap in ever since I was mid forties, I can feel soooo tired, once fell asleep at the wheel on just a short 20 minute journey, really difficult to deal with

Hi there, well I am a narcoleptic! just to let you know, firstly, I sleep about 12-14 hours a night and about 2-4 hours in the day- and that is with medication! but it is good stuff. it is called modafinil and they often prescribe it to shift workers as well as narcoleptics apparently. the other stuff wont help, that is for my cataplexy, so no point boring you with that! hope this is useful, good luck with your appointment!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
