Well I went to a new dr. on the 19th, he is a sleep specialist, and neuro dr. he went over all of my records that were faxed to him from previous dr, and agreed that I do have N, EDS, SP, Insomnina, mild C. I told him I was at the end of my rope as I could not take the exhaustion anymore. He actually let me vent for an hr., of course I was the last patient of the day.He told me I was a complex case which bothered me, but I didn't question what he meant, I think I was just so tired I couldn;t really think. Any way he agreed it was not necassary to repeat both night and day time tests since I just had them in Nov. He course of treatment for 3 weeks (which was when he wanted me to come back) was to change from 20 mg of Adderall XR 1 x day to 10 mg reg. ritilan 3 times day, and to add 25 mg Elavil to my lunesta for night time, and he was submitting the paperwork to the xyrem sucess program the next day. I left there at 6pm went to have scripts filled, picked up something to eat and came home just totally worn out. I was a bit confused when I opened the Elavil and found I had 75 mg not 25 but I just figured I misunderstood the dr. So I ate took my 75 mgof Elavil and 3 mg of lunesta and went to bed. When the alarm rang at 6 the next morning it took every ounce of energy I had to get up for work. I took all my meds along with my 1st dose of 10mg ritilan and headed off to work. After about 45 minutes I felt a rush of energy that I just can not explain (this was abot 7:45am),my co workers told me the next day nothing I was saying was making any sense. At about 10:15 am I crashed so hard, I was shaking, crying, and scared to death. I left work (luckily I only live 5 mins by car away) came home called the dr office and left a message laid down in bed and slept for 4 hrs. When I woke up I felt better and took the next dose of adderall. At around 5pm dr called and said he did not understand a thing I said on the answer machine, well I told him what happened and he freaked out that I was given 75 mg of Elavil. We decided to cut that in 4th's which is about 19.5 mg,and try that. Next morning (Wed.) was better , and I decided to take 2 of the ritilan that morning, all went well until about 11, severve crash again, I left work again to take a nap, but 3 hrs later called and said I just gotten get out of bed to come back to work. On Thursay I again called the dr office and left a message I couldn't handle these ups and downs and something else had to be tired. The nurse called me back later, and said we would go back to the Addreall xr 20 mg, 2x a day, I went and picked up the script on Fri AM and talked to nurse about 30mins. She told me that she got a fax that am from Xyrem program saying they accepted me, and send request to insurance. I asked her about the complex comment, and she told me what he meant was I am not the "typical" narcaleptic, as some symptoms are severe and some are mild, plus I have diabetes type 2, and mild hypertension, I left feeling so much better. This morning I took 20 mg addarall xr at 7 and actually cleaned utilty room and kitchen inculding mopping, and bathed both dogs. Thank goodness they each weigh under 10 lbs, then I took the second one at noon. Today is the first day in a long time I have actually felt human. I missed a call from the xyrem sucess program yesterday and got home 5 mins. after they closed! I am hoping to know something on Monday. I know this is long, but I just wanted to share my experience with all of you.

I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
