I have Multiple Sclerosis which causes fatigue. My current doctor will not believe me that I am also narcopleptic and have cataplexy. I did sleep walking as a child. I now wake with vivid nightmares, hot and cold periods, paralysis, and extreme fatigue that even taking 2-3 provigils does not help often. How does one get diagnosed? I even fall asleep during the day and run into walls using my power chair, etc. I have so many questions: For cataplexy, when you are stressed, is it more difficult to stay asleep? Is there anything recommended as treatment?
