Two years of mildly elevated MCV/MCH (2 points), and normal *serum* folate and B12. Then went to a hematologist who checked rbc folate and found it to be low (not dangerously at this point). Other blood work normal over the last two years, but recent iron testing showed elevated iron but *lowish* ferritin. Unusual! No hematochromotis genes. So doctor wants biopsy to rule out myelodysplasia. I didn't have the gumption to ask him what he thought the odds were. Have felt very poorly the last two years, but doctor says this is not related to my blood counts.
