I have recently been diagnosed with myasthenia gravis based on antibodies being present in my blood. I have had mild issues with blurred vision, but the last episode was almost 6 months ago. I have no other ocular issues. The reason I went back to my neurologist is because I had neuro surgery three years ago to repair a birth defect called chiari malformation, and I have a lot of weakness in my right arm and leg. It has progressively gotten worse over the past couple of years, so my neurologist did quite a few tests, including the blood test to test. It came back positive. My neurologist is at a military hospital, so he referred me off post to a neurologist for an EMG. It was pretty normal. She did not understand why my neurologist referred me for the EMG, because she said antibodies being present is a an official diagnosis. Has anyone else been diagnosed with MG based solely on antibody levels without having any ocular issues?
