I have been missing from the group for a long time. Different circumstances have taken me off Daily Strength for awhile. But i know it's a great place to return to friends and special people. As with many people on this site who deal with MG and other Autoimmune Diseases, they also deal with the fact that Autoimmune Diseases tend to run in packs like wolves run. You get one and you are likely to get another of several others. As with me it is the case. Along with the Mg the new one for me is Rheumatoid Arthritis. This has been going along for about 4 years since the first symptoms have started and getting worse. However i don't have it as bad as my wife does which is another story in its self. I have often relied on you guys in the past to give advice, advice from your own experiences of living with MG. My neuro took me off the cellcept about a year ago cause he thought since the Rheumy put me on MTX for the RA, it bothered him for me to be on too many immune suppressants at the same time. But since then i have been on several treatments for RA. I have tried the Embrel with no success and am now on Humira, which leads me to my Question. For those of you out there being treated with Humira, can it,or does it make your MG worsen. I know with RA you can get weakness as well, but the generalized weakness i have now is just like it when i first found out i had MG. i had the anitbodies to back it up. But as of about one year ago my test was negative for anitbodies, so my Neuro said what weakness i had was seronegative MG. i get so weak that i have to spend days in bed to recover from a good day. Sorry this is so long, but it is good to be back.
