I only found DS recently, and to date is has been an invaluable place for me to come and find both information and support for a disease that is confusing and scaring me. Thank you for that.
It seems to me that everyone who spends the time to be here on DS is looking for the same thing, some assurance that we aren't alone in a fight that has no boundaries and no limitations.
Each person brings their own experiences to the table and it is wonderful to hear the different points of view, options, and cheers of support. That includes the people who are willing to think "outside the box" on treatments and try the things (LDN for example) that aren't mainstream.
If everyone could remember that every post is simply a person putting a bit of themselves out there for everyone else to lean on, then maybe feelings wouldn't get so hurt and people wouldn't want to leave the board.
As adults who are willing to spend the time to be here, we all know that what is said here is an option, something to consider and possibly follow up on off the board. I don't, for example, think that Larry's success is an automatic reason for me to start on LDN, but I do think it is a reason for me to consider looking into it as an option for myself. Only my doctor and I can decide on the treatment best for me, and i may not experience the same thing as Larry because his success may not be based solely on the LDN as much as on a combintation of things including the LDN.
(Sorry Larry, yours is only an example that I can use that many people know about. I don't mean to single you out in any way.)
DS is a wonderful place and everyone's advice and support are invaluable. I do hope that people can keep that in mind when replying to posts and when taking offense at what someone else might say.
We all have a terrible disease and we need one another's support to get through all the ups and downs of it!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Oh...and some big laughs, often inappropriate, but it sure feels good, doesn't it? -Jen

When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide then I stop and turn and I go for a ride and I get to the bottom and I still have MS
And the stuff the others said too.
I am gratefule for the caring people I have met here.
I want to "WELCOME YOU" and continue to make new friends here.
I enjoy listening to everyones info on what works what doesn't. I learned more here than the Neuro every taught me.

Thanks,
Julie
It was my chiros that kept me going since 1989, got me Out of all my attacks. They do the same thing they've always done, I just am not having the attacks, only the precursors and triggers.
I've also toyed with my diet through the years starting with the DX, in 3/06 I think I found the answer to my digestion problems. Been great since.
So, yes, it's Not just ONE thing, it's all things combined. Just like it was prior to LDN, but no attacks; Just like it was prior to chiropractic, just no more ear infections and flulike bed-times.
And like no other time in our history, we have these wonderful places to share and compare with others suffering like us.
Any group online is only as good as those willing to Not Fight with each other ;)
Instead of fighting with eachother, we need to put that engery in ourself and fight a good fight. Today is another day. What will you do?
Go spread some sunshine ;)

It is time to stop this nonsense of running around picking on ourselves. We have a right to be here. We have a right to be ourselves. We are here. There is a purpose, a reason, and an intention for our life. We do not have to apologize for being here or being who we are. We are good enough, and deserving.
It doesn't matter what we've done in our past. We all have a past, woven with mistakes, successes, and learning experiences. We have a right to our past. It is ours. It has worked to shape and form us. As we progress on this journey, we shall see how each of our experiences will be turned around and used for good.
We have already spent too much time being ashamed, being apologetic, and doubting the beauty of ourselves. Be done with it. Let it go. It is an unnecessary burden.
