Thought I'd share a recent happening with my upper cervical care. I have been in alignment for about 4 1/2 months, but recently went out after lifting my son up to some playground equip. I couldn't get to my chiro. right away. When I made it in, she said I was way out and she readjusted me....ever so seemingly subtlely. I immediately felt so much better, then by the third day, I felt like I was having an all-out relapse with numbness, tingling weakness, muscle twitches and spasms, dizziness, back and neck pain etc. To try to make a long story short, I went back to her in tears. She told me it was just the 3rd day flare-up and showed me a graph of recovery which is common for patients. I remembered this, but I was skeptical before. The first adjustment I had, I just was in one big relapse, so I didn't notice so much. It was a shock to my system to be feeling so well and suddenly so bad. Well, she was right. A day later all the symptoms are subsiding, although I definitely have fatigue. I am gaining so much more respect for this woman. She personally has never told me that she "treats MS" specifically, but she aligns my C1 and lets my body take care of the rest. I know I am one of her toughest patients. It is a little scarey how her adjustment can affect my nervous system so dramatically, but it gives me confidence that it is making a very positive difference. Now all I have to do is keep my alignment!
