I was dx in Aug. of '07 and was soon thereafter given Copaxone to take. I went to my neuro today, 10-23-07, and showed her a sight reaction that I had from the injection in my hip that was real red and inflamed. She immediately switched me to Rebif. Has this happened to anyone else and what can I expect from Rebif?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have only taken Rebif so far but I can tell you that you can get red spots that stay for a long time with it too. Mine haven't itched or been swollen. Sometimes they don't show up until days later when I do my next shot in a different place - it doesn't make sense but nothing with MS does.
If you put a warm washcloth over the site and rub lightly for a minute or so after the injection, it really helps to disperse the med. I started that and it helped a lot!!
