I've been off work on disability since May of this year. I'm considering going back to work since I'm up on my feet again. When I left, I was in a wheelchair, slurring, having double vision, lost the use of my right hand, etc. Now, I've gotten all of that back and am having no problems.
The thing is, I want to go back to work. I know it'll stop my disability. I've already been approved for federal disability on top of my personal disability policy. I'm almost afraid to go back and not be able to do it.
Has anyone returned to work after being off on disability? I need some serious advice here!
Thanks, Karen

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
SSDI will allow you to go back to work on TRIAL BASIS. CAll them - I believe you can work up to 9 months with normal pay and then after that can earn up to $900.00 without affecting your payments. Ask them for the booklets.
But I will say they have no proof yet that stress can cause excerbation but I can say it does for me.
Can you start p/t and something easy?
I know it gets boring at home but it takes so long to recover just be careful my friend.
Love ya! Mary
This should answer your questions. If you can't work full time, hopefully you will be lucky enough to find a boss like mine. He tells me to let him know when I'm getting close to the limit of what I can make, then he gives me time off. Of course, he doesn't have to pay me that much either, lol.
