My doc says that I have almost all the symptoms of MS and is sending me for an MRI on Monday. I'm nervous about this. I know you guys can't give me a yes or no, but I'd just like some ideas.
My skin feels raw. Feels like someone is pulling the skin off of the muscles. Mostly on my arms, from the elbows to the back of the hands. Sometimes it hurts for the water to run on my skin, and even the air from the Air Conditioner in the car, drove me nuts blowing on my hand. I had to keep my hand in my lap, outta the air. I've started having incontinence problems, peed myself once, and feel the urge to go alot. Before I was Dx in 2001, I had and still do from time to time, the numb spots (about 7, the size of quarters) on my back. They were numb and itched like crazy. But I was tested in '01, with a neg. result. I don't know if I'd come up positive or not.
Oh, and I get blurry vision about 10 days outta the month. It can only be in one eye or both. It lasts a day or two, and goes away.
Now I have Fibromyalgia, and I know fibro can mimic MS, but the doc knows I have fibro. So any ideas?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Question: My skin seems MORE sensitive to water, air, touch, etc. Isn't it the opposite with MS?
Thank you so much for helping me. I am concerned, but not panicing yet.
Talon is right about the spinal tap. They might want to do one after they see your film. The tap does suck but think of it like this: If they say you need one, you can use it as an excuse to do NOTHING but lie flat, drink cold drinks and watch movies! :)
