I have been receiving solumedrol IV infusion every other week for several months now. Recently, this therapy is not working as well as it had been, and my dr. also thinks I'm having a flare-up. She is prescribing solumedrol infusion weekly. The problem I have is that I have TERRIBLE veins. My dr. suggsested to have a pic line put in so I can easily start the IV and not have to do the old hunt and peck each week, and the veins will not become more and more difficult. Could anyone offer any thought on this. Thanks

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I personally haven't had one yet but in January I should be starting Tysabri & will have one put in then.
How long do you expect to need the infusions? Perhaps a midline would work...it's similar to a PICC but the line is not as long, does not extend up as far, so less chance of nerve pain. It all depends on how long though...good luck.
