I am experiencing worsening neuropathic pain in my right arm and leg. I have tried Topomax, which seemed to work well, but the side effect was losing too much of my already thin hair, so I stopped. I also tried Neurontin, which made me gain weight and didn't seem to help anyway. Now I take Cymbalta, which helps with my emotional issues but doesn't help with pain. The pain is not severe, but aggravating and persistent. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I also experience neuropathic pain through my back and down my left arm and leg. My neurologist knows I am fussy when it comes to my weight, so he prescribed Amitriptylin. It will take 4-6 weeks until I feel the full effect. But so far the discomfort seems to be minimized. The only side effects I have had so far is that I sleep so soundly now that it is hard to get up for work and some headaches. I hope this helps.

Synthetic morphine. It's not like wow, morphine dude..I don't even know I am on it. It is time released capsules.....does NOT work for IMMEDIATE pain relief though.....just stays in systems, and keeps most of the worst pain away. Beenon it now months.
Helps a great deal. I am looking for a instant relief pain med though for kadian dosen't do that. I use tylenol arthritis for immeidiate relief
