I am not a medical person so what I am going to relate is my personal experience, not advice of any kind. I take LDN and had MINOR surgery that required narcotic pain medication. My experience was that I think the LDN is such a low dose that it did not seem to make a difference. The pain medication still worked. Also, I take neurontin for nerve pain, but it works differently then a regular pain medication so it does not seem to be affected by the LDN either. You should defintly double check with your doc though.

I started LDN and didn't take it last night as the pain I was in was unbearable to me. I took Demerol and it worked just fine. Once this pain is done with, I will go back on LDN. I did get an answer through my support group on yahoo and was told that people are taking pain meds within 6+ hours after LDN and its fine for them.

Lyrica should be ok, while on LDN, the Lyrica will just work Better, the way it's supposed to, so make sure your dose isn't Too high to compensate for MS.

People in pain can take Darvocet, if that works for you, then that's the one to take.

IIRC, The Pain Killers will work, it's the LDN that becomes useless. I think LDN is 'food' for the pain killers. So it's not that you'll be in pain, it'll be like you're not even taking LDN.

The problem being, one's first doses of the pain killer may not work as well until the LDN is gone, so more would be needed, and time being in pain would be longer.

I have taken darvocet, before being on LDN, but not since. When I'm in pain I go to my chiros, but I also deal with the pain most of the time. It has to be real bad for me to scream for something.

I haven't had so much as a 'cold' since the month I started. Every time I thought I was getting something, by the time I said "Uh Oh", it was gone.

The worst I had, medically speaking, was a killer staph infection, and within 2 doses of Levaquin, the Red Alert was back to Yellow. My podiatrist couldn't believe it, he'd never seen anything like that before (23 yrs experience).

Once on LDN you may no longer have the nerve pain, especially if you have a really good chiropractor working with you. But how do you Transition from one to the Other? I Don't know!
