I am currently w/o insurance so a trip to the dr. is out of the question. I was dxd in Dec of 06 with MS and need some advice.
I am having some vision probs. I fell pressure and some burning-stinging behind my eyes with my rt being worse. I see small worms and some times it is like I am looking thru a fire, kind of wavy. My rt eye is like I am looking thru milk. Sometimes it helps to put a cold cloth or an ice pack on them. Other times it makes the pain worse. I also get to see a pretty funky light show when I close my eyes. Lots of reds and orangy pinks. Every once in a while I will loose vision out of the corner of my rt. eye.
I also have a strange question about scratching.
There are parts of my body that the skin burns and if I scratch then that area starts to hurt like someone grabbed too tight. The other odd thing is when I am having a flare up it hurts when someone hugs me. I can even feel the hug up to an hour or so later. Like they are still touching me. Is this normal for MS or am I just loosing my mind?
Thanks for any help.

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
NO, you are not losing your mind. Our little nerves love to act up and we are lucky enough to never know how MS is going to present itself. I have a very difficult time with my legs being touched. It is like someone is shocking me and the pain is extraordinary! My Yorkies and Schnauzer don't understand why I can't handle them jumping into my lap (that is their place, you know!). The burning skin and itching is another fun symptom I experience often. Before my diagnosis, I was treated for shingles three times! Hubby began to worry when the doctor kept prescribing me Valtrex!! (VBG!) I have had luck on those really itchy days with Atarax but then again, that's prescription. The vision problems are also common but all of these things together probably are telling you that your MS is flaring up. What kind of treatment are you on? I will pray for you and hope you are able to get in to see your doctor soon.
God Bless!

Or the doctor may agree to see you at a reduced fee or perhaps the clinic has a program for those who can't afford, but need, medical care.
Another idea--are there any free clinics close to you? Perhaps seeing a dr. there--that dr. could call your dr. and you may get better results. It does sound like you need medical advice/attention very quickly. Hope this helps! Hang in there.
Please call your state MS Society. They will have advice on how to get medical care hopefully.
You really should get help for your eyes.
I have had most of the symptoms you are describing.
Neurontin helps me with some of the burning, pain, scratching stuff. I know that there are other meds that help for this, but don't know what they are.
You should be able to get some help, just call the MS Society, and they should at least be able to guide you.
Good luck, and prayers.
