I know were not doctors here, Im just wondering if this look familar to anyone..
findings: Scattered foci of T2 signal are present in the cerebral white matter bilaterally. the largest os these are in the left posterior frontal operculum and in the left temporal white matter, measuring 3 to 4 mm. A total of eight such foci are seen. Hazy white matter change is present around the posterior ventricles.
Impression: Most probably these findings are secondary to MS. there is nothing absolutely typical about them except for the fact that they are all in the white matter.
Im not sure what the secondary to MS. means.
I was DX. last year in Nov. and have been on treatment sence Jan. I just confussed if anyone can help, thank you.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

The T2 signal referrs to the type of message that is sent back that they were trying to pick up. They are a signal that represents lesions. The other represents wear they found the lesions and their size.
Some of the words mentioned I don't know but I think the temporal lobes are in the frontol lobes above your forehead. I should get my brain book out I guess and check for sure.
As far as secondary to MS I am not sure. He told me that different lab sites often used different terminology to mean the same thing.
I am going to the doctor this afternoon to have him explain what my MRI means today. I'll tell you if I find out anything new.
"secondary to"-- means "because of" or "related to." The lesions are there because you have MS, in other words--hope this helps hun!
thanks again..
april.
Alot of us are differant. You do not want to have to wait until your lesions show up in the normal places for you to get treatment.
none of my lesions are surounding the "large holes in the brain" i forget what they are called. That type is called Dawsons fingers. That would be normal for MS.
I am not normal. thats for sure and many of you may agree with that. LOL
