I had my first ever consultation with the neurologist just before Christmas. She didn't take the very detailed medical history that I had been told to expect nor did she ask some of the specific questions I'd been told about. She almost immediately dismissed the idea that the symptoms could be related to seizure activity as I have epilepsy too. She did however latch onto the fact that as a young adult(18-25) I'd suffered from migranes.
I explained that I hadn't suffered from a migraine in the last 5 or 6yrs but she was convinced that it was related somehow. I tried explaining that the visual disturbances were very different, that the loss of sensation was on the opposite side to that which occured with my migraines and that I had no headaches when these symptoms occur. She just said that sometimes happens.
What I'm asking is this : Has anyone else been told that they have `migraine related phenomenon'? And if so can you please enlighten me as to how the symptoms not only change dramatically but swap sides too?
