I read through several of the posts on here, and thought I would respond... I usually post under the Chronic Pain Community.
I was dx with MS over 10 years ago, and just this year, learned that I have (what the drs say) is terminal cancer. My oncologist said I would be fortunate to live to see Christmas. Well, looking at the calendar that gives me approx. 10 weeks or so.
I could stop and consider everything is over, and pity myself and my family for what I have to deal with, or I can fight and move beyond it. I chose the later.
Fighting is something we all do, regardless of our diagnosis. AND, we all fight in different ways. BUT, we all have within us the basic will to live, and given a situation, whether it be MS, or cancer, or whatever, we individually do what we can to live our life to its fullest and move beyond.
BUT, it is important, and the very essence of life, that we not only do it for ourselves, but for those around us. We need to, in whatever way we can, uplift, encourage, support, and befriend, whomever we can. Like I tell my children, be gentle with the hand you hold today, because it could very well be that hand that is holding yours tomorrow.
Kindness and compassion are two things, that we can freely give, that go further than man's medicine, towards healing. When given the opportunity, it is up to us to utilize it.
...hugs...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
