Is there anything that works for severe leg pain? My husband has been up walking the floors for weeks due to the nerve pain in the back of his leg. He describes it as deep burning throbbing pain. They gave him Tylenol #3, and Vicodin, and it didn't touch it. They then went to NSAIDS. That doesn't help. Walking seems to relieve the symptoms for brief periods. It always seems worse at night of course. We are currently going throught the VA hospital, and it takes forever to get anything done. Now that we are in that system, we can't get out. We're trying to get a 'good' doctor, and getting a referral to a neuro seems next to impossible for some reason (non-VA). What can we do for the pain? It is difficult to watch him suffer.
