I have not been diagnosed with MS but over the last year have had several episodes that are similar to symtoms. I was wondering if this disease is difficult to diagnose? My first episode was like a stroke where people were talking to me and I couldn't understand them, I had sever back pain during the weeks leading up to this but no one ever connected the two. I was in the hospital and they did a cat scan of my head and an mri of my head only. The neurologist did not see anything and dismissed it as stress related and my blood pressure was high so I am now taking meds for that. Since then I have had two other episodes where I am disoriented and have the same lower back pain with numbness and tingling. I am also super sensitive to heat and am burning up from the inside out at times. Does this sound familiar to anyone or would you have to have the lesions show up in the brain mri or could it be in the spine? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
