there are definately hot and cold spots. i don't know why, never researched or asked about it. but then, i've always felt this before...

i used to notice it on my right knee. ended up having a cyst removed.
that was 10 years ago, before my dx.
my arms are always very warm, i only know this because friends will comment. they don't usually touch anything else!...lol

...my temp is usually around 99 all the time too.
never thought to have someone touch a hot spot tho, that is interesting.

i will tell you too, my kiddo had one warm foot and one cold foot the other day. shes not been dx'd with ms, so i'm not sure what significance this may have. course, you know what was going thru my brain....sigh...

I get hot spots on my upper left thigh, but it's never actually hot to the touch, it just feels to me like it is. I talked to my neuro, and he said it was perfectly "normal" either way (whether it felt hot to the touch or not).

Yes I too battle with the "hot" spots...and sometimes my husband has to put ice packs on my feet, knees, and legs. They will feel like they are on fire....and the doc said it does come from the brain sending the wrong messages. But the ice packs do help to bring the temp back down. And when I have the "cold" spots...I have to turn to a heating pad...which helps also. Sometimes it will travel up of down the legs or arms. But don't feel alone! There with ya~

i have never battled with the hot spots i've always had the opisite. I am always freezing. my feet are always like icecubes always. even when its 90 degress freezing cold toes. i think everyone is different. i hope you get some relief.

ye,my GF gets hot spots her feet can get hot or cold.that goes for her joints also,they sometimes swell up when warm.and there warm to the touch also.
