I have been out to a couple of shopping malls this holiday season, and remain amazed at the people.
Some people go out of there way to help each other out, while some are clearly out only for themselves. What a pity!!!
So many get wrapped up in their obligations that it changes their total temperment. They are not only irritable but inconsiderate.
The holiday season (no matter what religion you are, or how or to what degree you celebrate), is about giving your best. And, when I say this, I do not mean monetarily.
Imagine what a different place this crazy world would be if we all took the time to practice kindness. It might be letting the person behind you in line, go in front of you, especially when you might have a cart full, and they have one or two items. OR, helping someone load their car, or even exchanging a nice comment with someone, or if you get great service at a restaurant or store, letting the manager now.
Kindness goes further than anything, and I think we here on DS have found/discovered that, and openly/willing participate in that, given how each one of us does our best to help and support each other.
With all that said...
MS is a horrible disease, and affects each one of us in a different way, and to a different degree.
I wish each and every one of you a peaceful, love filled, holiday season, and I personally thank each and every one of you for your friendship and support!
THANKS!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
who said that?
so I keep smiling.

I do my best to tell the rude people " You have a nice day" a lot of times it stops them in their tracks and you can see the thought crosses their mind to become kind again..
I am excited though as I'm going to a mall on 12/19 to meet up with an old friend. I don't need to buy a thing so I can enjoy just walking around watching people act like assholes! I can smile and say Happy Holidays and trip jerks with my cane if they aren't nice!!!
It actually amazed me to find out that some people are kind and you just don't know it. And then the people who you thought would be kind are not kind at all!
I always smile at everyone because most people will smile back and the ones who don't are probably shocked by the whole thing.
And I went to Wal-Mart this past Friday (after 1 pm) and it was like a stampede.
