Hematopeoitic Stem Cell Transplant for Multiple Sc

I underwent a procedure three months ago that is risky, but has a high remission success rate called Hematopeoitic Stem Cell Transplant for Multiple Sclerosis. It requires several evaluations by neurologists and immunologists just to meet the criteria. Once you are accepted, it is another month of tests and a bone marrow draw through apheresis for stem cells, then a month or so in the hospital for high dose Cytoxin chemotherapy for four days straight. Then two-three months to recover from the chemo. This procedure has been very successful for other autoimmune diseases as well.
The outcome is a new immune system devoid of the antigen that attacks the myelin sheaths on the axons in your brain. It will take 12-18 months for the new immune system to fully mature and the existing MS damage to heal. But it will all be worth it to have a normal quality of life again and to save my wife the agony of watching me progress to complete disability (I was heading in that direction).
See my website at www.allyoumed.com for the whole story with videos of the procedure.

Some insurance companies cover it (medicare, some PPO's), but not HMO's. My HMO did not cover it. It cost $140,000.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
