You have to ask the question...is the job worth the stress? Yeah it pays the bills but is it worth the stress....I think that if short term dis is paid ...take it...if not...have a strategy plan....you get 12 weeks leave under FMLA each calendar year (may be different state to state but not sure...check with your labor office)....if you are able to endure the extra travel for a few more weeks save the money....save the money..find things you can cut back on (i.e. cigarrettes, alcohol, etc.) and do it....the decision to go on leave will probably be the best decision you make in your life...it has MADE a difference for me and MS is considered a dual sword for me a blessing and curse...blessing because I don't have to put up with the stuff at a job anymore (huge cognitive probs) and curse well who wants a wretched disease at all....good luck!

I agree with Casmira. Only you know if you're willing to take the stress and possiblity of more disability. You can also see your doctor and see if you can get some time off from work (I did) and file STD.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
