Has anyone experienced hearing loss, either temporarily or permanently in one or both ears.
I've been having a relapse the last couple weeks, seeming to affect my rt side, blurry vision,(even w/the reading glasses) and hearing comes & goes. Have been on tappering prednisone twice (down to 30 mg now) but last night totally lost hearing in my rt ear. Feels like it's plugged when you fly & can't get it back, later last night & more this morning seems like loosing it in the left ear now too...........this is creepy. Anyone else get this???? what can I do??/ thank god i'm seeing my neuro today, but i know that's not going to stop it. any hints or tips??? jules

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

I woke up 10/14/1996 'deaf' in my left ear. Not quite dead deaf, but like someone was holding 20 pillows over my ear.
We found the trigger though, it was something called "Lifestyles Extra" or something like that, some wonderful health elixir that my boss was hawking. In his infinite greed, he knew I lost my hear and wanted me to hawk a bottle on my chiro.
She had the idea to A-K test me and said that that was what must have triggered the attack. Took 3 weeks for my hearing to come back and I finished the bottle 2 weeks prior to that.
It's a communication problem.. the ear and all in it may be ok, but something gets lost in the translation ;)
If it was a triggered reaction, find the cause and STOP it. If you already stopped it, then it'll take 2-3 weeks to work it's way out, less if you have a really good chiropractor.
epilepsy neuro says allegries...ms neuro says to see a ear, nose and throat specialist...
personally think they are both wrong...grin...
but alas i shall go for both tests just to prove them wrong and make someone pay attention... i know it can be a symptom of ms...and i also know it can be auditory seziures...so it is a matter of flipping a coin at this point...grin

I wish you the best and put your faith in God.
Keep script for glasses up to date, pray and rest those eyes when they tire or suddenly blur worse. That does seem to help me somewhat.
