I hope I can keep this brief. I had my meeting with my boss and HR today to discuss my FMLA status. Apparently, the accommodations my boss made for me by letting me work at home 2 days per week means I have to apply for FMLA. I have to have my neurologist fill out some payperwork saying that I have MS and that it is "medically advantageous" for me to not commute 2 hours (round trip) two days per week. Does anyone else use Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for to secure their jobs and/or get treatment for MS? Will my neurologist say that I need this? Anyone know anything about this? I live in Mass. but this is a federal accommodation/designation.
