I told my work I had MS almost right after I was DXd because I felt like I had to. I was blind in one eye, started losing sight in the other eye and had to take lots of time off for steroid infusions, appointments, etc. Anyway, that was 2 months ago and yesterday, my boss told me that we had to have a meeting with HR to discuss my FMLA status. She is a great boss and has made accommodations already with my schedule, etc. Do I need this? What does it mean really? Just being labeled "disabled?" Anyone had any dealings with FMLA besides maternity leave after babies?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
THE CO I WORKED FOR HAD HR CALL ME IN WHEN I HAD FALLEN SEVERAL TIMES. THEY WANTED TO DISCUSS A SAFER WAY TO DO MY JOB. TOLD THEM I WOULD GET A ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR, PROBLEM SOLVED. I WORKED FOR 2 MORE YEARS AND THEN WENT THRU STD AND LTD AND GET 66% OF MY SALARY UNTIL 65 YRS OLD. YES GOING THRU ALL THIS SUCKS BUT AS LONG AS YOUR DOCTOR IS BEHIND YOU AND HAS MEDICAL DOCUMENTATION YOU SHOULD BE FINE. NOW, I STILL HAVE TO PROVE I AM DISABLED ONCE A YEAR FOR LTD AND ONCE EVERY 3 YEARS FOR SS. JUST MAKE SURE DOCTOR KEEPS DOCUMENTING YOUR CASE. GOODLUCK.
