I wish this forum had a search engine dedicated to it alone as I am sure this question has already come up. But not wishing to go through the 300 some posts, I will just go ahead and ask it-who has family members with MS? My half-brother had an incident of Transverse Myelitis. It is said that MS is not genetic but I have to wonder. Betty Iams (http://www.bettyshouselifeafterms.com/index.html#E) has MS, has a daughter with MS and I believe her mother had MS as well. I guess in the long run it doesn't really matter if it is genetic or not as the main issue is finding the cause in order to effect a cure but I was just curious.

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
