I've never really had these problems before, but shortly after my diagnosis and my flare-up, I was diagnosed with painful diverticulitis. I spent 4 days in the hospital on pain meds and on antibiotics. I now have the same pains again (milder and I'm seeing my primary doctor tomorrow). I was wondering if anybody has had this happen to them and if it could be related to MS? I couldn't really find anything about it with MS, but then a lot of the posts I read and symptoms you can't find on some sites either. So, I thought I'd ask.
Thanks!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
1. drink lots of water to keep your system flushed
2. eat lower fiber food
3. chew your food really well - 20 times per bite
Diverticulitis happens when a particle of food becomes lodged in the folds of your intestinal track. I think the water is probably one of the best appoaches because it can help to keep the food moving through.
Good luck, and feel better.
But for sure Black Pepper should be a no-no.
