Have had my hubby tested for many things and here are a few finds..and interesting results.
He was deficient(def) in 2 components of flaxseed oil so we put him on one pill a day.
He was 1.8 (33.7 on 32-100 scale) from being deficient in D. This was after him being put on 1400IU D2 a day. Many doctors don't think you should treat the bottom 10% of scales BEFORE you become abnormally deficient. I DISagree and think this is your indicator light to do something before you are abnormal and damage is done. The specialist we went to agree that me changing him to 2000IU of D3 in June(25 times more potent than D2) was the right thing to do do(mid July) and wanted the number up at LEAST 15 points. Recently we got D retested and he only had went up 10 points..no where near midpoint range. So without telling him I increased his D3 to 6000IU for this last week and wanted to do so for 2-3 more weeks then drop back to 2000IU.
You know what my husband told me yesterday?
He said you know I have noticed and increase in bladder control and better "feeling." I said what do you mean by feeling..better walking or in general feeling ie less numbess? He said "a better feeling in general..both." Then I told him what I did he said that is interesting.
I told him I would not want to do it for more than 3 more weeks without again going back and getting retested as I do NOT want him to OD on anything. However, at this point I know his numbers are soo low and enough research that for a short period should be fine.
