Just wondering if anyone else goes to the Chiropractor on a regular basis, and if so, do you feel it has been beneficial to your overall wellbeing, or haven't noticed anything at all? I personally have found that when I go like I'm supposed to, I feel WAY better energy wise, and it seems the electricity in my legs starts to be a nuisance when I haven't gone and am 'outta whack...a few visits later and it's like I'm reset or something...One would think I'd be more vigil, this being the case, but my doctor is out in BFE, and sadly that makes me not want to go as often as I should...I sit in enough traffic after work!!! ha,ha I'm going to try and make more of an effort (starting again today), and will be logging how I feel in my journal if anyone is interested :) Kind of my own personal test, but if there's something to it, then why not share, right??? Hope you're all having a good day!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My chiropractors have talent on loan from God.
My NJ chiros are father and son, they fix my holy spirit :)
I went to the father first in December 1989. UP until that point I was having inner ear infections, attacks (who knew it was MS) that were very strange, and mostly in reaction to chocolate that I just didn't understand why I couldn't just sneeze like everyone else 'allergic'.
I can't tell the story of the day After my first chiro visit, but that day I was convinced.
The first time he Looked at my back, didn't even Touch me yet, he said he Thinks I was born with SBO or had something happen when I was very young. Then he touched me and showed me where it was. This was 12/89. My CT scan report in 08/02 Officially (13 years after hearing these words) with spina bifida occulta: SBO.
I had, Easily, 25-40 combinations of ear infections, otitis media, acute otitis media, double acute otitis media, and usually the antibiotics to match, from 1974-1989.
I've NEVER had another inner ear infection diagnosed or treated with antibiotics since November 1989.
I was DX with Carpal Tunnel syndrome in 1991. I mentioned the problems to my local chiro. 3 weeks later after 2 visits a week, CTS was history. In 2002 when I was having the worst attack of my life, they ran the muscle and conduction tests. They told me they had good news and bad news. The good news was they were removing CTS from my records, it was 100% healed, Both side, no trace of abnormality. The bad news was the problem I was having had to be above the neck. And so the MRI's DX me with MS shortly after.
My chiros kept me from caring what was behind all the attacks because we found the Triggers of them all, fixed them (either giving up eating/consuming what triggered it, or fixing the subluxations) and I never bothered to go to a neuro.
In 2002 when it affected my typing, even though they fixed me up, I had to know what could cause THAT!
My 3 chiros are my PCPs, I do nothing without consulting them, any time I put down a fax number, both of theirs are on the list too. They call me with results when they're available, way before my neuros. 6/21/02 I Knew the MRI said MS, 7/31 was my next neuro appt, had to wait nearly 6 weeks to find out 'for sure'.
My father/son team do different things than each other, and my local chiro has different views and methods. They've worked together on some situations, and they are so amazed at how far we've come in 18/16 years.
My chiro's son graduated chiro school at the height of my 2002 attack. He was the one to get me out of it, and then the father did something 3 days later and it was totally gone. 20 minutes after my 5/20/02 adjustment I was typing without interference and that symptom never happened again.
But ya gotta have a good relationship with them, and you have to feel Better when you leave their office. I've been to a few others to compare and see, they definitely aren't all Good.
I guess you have to find the A and B student ones LOL
but, that's just one story :) I don't think I'd be walking after some of those attacks if not for them.
