Just wondering if anyone has Charlie horses. Mine come in the night when my legs have gone numb. I will be sound asleep and these things bring me wide awake and can last for a couple of minutes to an hour. I've been getting them 2 to 3 a week.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Good Luck and hugggggggsssssss!
Peace
Fred
Three things that might help:
1. swimming or at leasting some stretching/toning in water where there is no impact but still some resistence (plus the water feels heavenly on sore legs!)
2. add potassium to your diet with tomate products, bananas, etc., or take as a supplement with calcium (helps it absorb better into system)
3. try sleeping with your legs slightly elevated or with a pillow between them - this keeps my feet from going numb for some reason
Finally, try doing some deep breathing and stretching before you lay down. Releasing as much tension from your body before sleep is always good.

I take a muscle relaxer called BACLOFEN .I also eat a bannana a day. The pill works but it makes it hard to wake up .
