Hello all....I'm new to MS ...I've been in treatment for about nine or ten months and I still seem to get new types of pains....I have many other battles I have fought in the last six years and MS is the latest. I have for the last several months been having moderate to severe shoulder, elbow wrist, and ankle pains...these pain have nothing to do with muscles they are deep in the joints...is this a MS thing?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm not certain of the achey joints & given all the complicating medical situations you have had, I'm hestitant to give my simple experience.
Muy muscles ached from MS, It causes me to walk spactically, like a robot. I had a group of teenager shout out to me from their moving car "Stop drinking you alcoholic"
I think brcause my muscles ache, I attempt to walk with minimally contracting muscles & my hips and knees end up bearing the weight.
My hips & knees don't hurt yet, but I imagine the longer I walk this way, they will eventually.
My simplier problems then YOURS. But perhaps you will see somnething in it.
I'm able to use Tylenol for the sore muscles. I think others are able to use baclofen or even a baclofen pump. I don't have any experience with that though.
I hope other reply with more experience for replying to your post.
