ok.. so I've been lurking around for a few months, figured I was join and introduce myself. My name is Ericka, I'm 23, and was diagnosed at 16. It's hard to believe I've had MS for 7 years already, mainly because I've responded so well to therapy. Initially I had problems with the vision in my left eye, when the blurryness came back a month later my neuro got me on avonax. That worked great for me until about a year ago. I honestly didn't really feel like I was sick other than occassional numbness in my feet and fatigue (though I think that was from too much teenage parties!), I just took a weekly shot (that I HATED) but I felt fine. Well, I really feel like I took all that time for granted, especially last year when I started having problems with my legs. I got real lazy, had stopped going to the gym, was eating poorly and forgot that I really needed to have a bigger interest in my health.. so after switching from avonax to rebif, and heading back to the gym.. I feel about 90% back to 'normal', it's taken some time though, more than I expected. I just wanted to share my general experience so far. Keep your heads up, everything is possilbe through strenth and faith. :)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Talk to you later.
God bless you!
