going to post this here although its over on the sexual abuse board i dont know how many here wander there. report it now is a national movement to get people to report sexual assault and abuse and im sure many, if not all, here have been victimized one way or another, perhaps both. i also emailed the link to everyone i know and included a guilt provoking line i told them that the conservative statistic is 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys are assaulted or molested by age 18 so if they know 10 people (and my addition error was intentional to see if anyone notices and to give the numbers a little leeway) one of those people has been affected. im not sure about the statistics, ive heard varying numbers but does it matter? not to me one life destroyed by this kind of thing is enough. silence is the enemy and the perpetrators know it, they know victims are afraid and ashamed so they are reluctant to speak out. although i dont believe such a campaign can stop it i believe that it can help those affected, knowledge is power and so is solidarity. if you go to the site you can post your abuse, i dont know if its like rainns site, i posted what i thought was an anonymous report and a few days later a pa state cop called. ha. i am too old for them to do anything about it now, i guess after you pass a certain age you and the assault no longer matter. but i did feel that the cop was interested and he did find the abuser and while he didnt tell me anything much he let me know the cops are watching the abuser and maybe some child will be protected, at least thats what i hope.

What would YOU do if you won the lottery? If I won I would find a program or place that treats the WHOLE body, not just with chemicals or talk therapy, to find a mental health regimen that would FINALLY work for me. I would work to get off of my meds altogether. (Years and years of taking meds that don't help have left me frustrated and fairly angry.) Treatment for mental illness is not for the...
