Dissociative identity disorder is a diagnosis described as the existence in an individual of two or more distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. Right this minute, I couldn't tell you about being portrayed in the media is.
I don't like, that it is okay for other people, without this disorder, to talk or act like my head is going to start spinning around. I would like to have more acceptance. It would be so much easier (I think... ?) to adjust and seek/get treatment, as well as get smooshed together, if that is what you decide you want.
(that wasn't real specific, sorry. I might have to re-visit this one to answer again)
What are your thoughts on this?
we hate to hurt we don't want anyone to hurt so we would never hurt anyone and right now it hurts really bady.
i hate hurt, almost as much as i hate me

Hello my friend,
I think one of the main reasons multiple personality disorder diagnosis name got changed to Disociative Idnentity Disorder was because of the Movie Sibble. That movie really upset me and I would like to see society's view and doctor's views on DID become as accepted as any other mental illness. I think it is sad that so many people and doctors are willing to accept all other mental illnesses expet DID. I don't want to be treated differently, I just want to be treated with respect. Take very good care of yourself. Sending you hugs.
Hugs,
Sam
i agree, who wants to know? til i know, i think i'll just keep my opinion to myself.
