Hi Everyone:
It has been ages since I have been here. Having some problems at the moment. I'm having a SRA memory and I can't shake it. It has been 48 hrs and it still won't leave me alone.
I don't have therapy to 8am friday and as you can see I'm not sleeping.
How do I deal with this memory? Any way I can shelf it? It has been 2 + years since I had a memory. I thought I was done, ha, ha, ha.
I just would like to cut right about now....but probably to chicken to do it. I have worked so hard to move forward. Now what?

I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Another thing that I've found helpful, is to remind myself (and whoever is having this flashback) that even though you feel like you're still in that moment, it actually is a memory, and you are in a safe place now. Ironically, that well may be why you're having this flashback!!
This isn't a fall backwards. It's another step in your healing process. See what you can glean from it revealing itself to you. And if you're not in therapy right now, it's probably a good time to start looking for one again.
