I was told while in the hospital that I caught an infection while staying there too long. I had 4 major abdominal and bowel surgeries in less than 6 months. The first surgery was to remove a cyst from my ovary and she cut my bowel and sewed me back up. Long story short I suffered from severe infections and starving to almost death for 6 months I then had and ostomy put in and reversed 3 months later. They tried to treat me with vancomyacin but It litterly almost killed me. I stopped the iv's and then they recalled it a week later. I was told the color wasn't right and the company recalled it. I really don't believe that. I asked questions about this infection that I thought was spelled "mercer" and the nurses and Dr's kept saying that I would have it for life but not to worry about it. I kept asking if I could spread it to my husband and kids and they said no. I went to the ER last week and noticed on my chart a big sticker saying that I had MRSA and to take precautions. Can anyone help me? Am I contagious? I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. Where can I get straight answers about this? Any advise would be greately appreciated. Thank You

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
